Head of Optimisation and Strategy, REO Digital

Managing a team of UI designers, strategists and optimisation managers and working alongside front-end developers and UX researchers to create great customer experiences

• Use of qualitative and quantitative data to identify pain points and opportunities throughout the customer journey that generated successful A/B testing hypotheses
• Ensure roadmap is aligned to the short and long-term goals of the business and its customers
• Generate bespoke optimisation strategies for major UK and European websites
• Improve day to day processes with the aim of driving more value and efficiency to the business
• Hire and manage the team optimisation managers, strategists and designers


Achievements

🏆 Successfully restructured the team to introduce a more strategic role in squads enabling the team to execute in depth analytical projects
🏆 Introduced a new workshop format that encouraged more participation and enabled us to more effectively construct an optimisation roadmap

🏆 Introduced templates for test briefs and test results to increase efficiency and ensure consistency and quality

UX/Optimisation Director, REO Digital

Managed key stakeholder relationships to gather KPIs and set strategic goals. Worked together with the Head of UX and Head of Design to identify ways to improve the product offering and outputs as well as improving internal processes to drive more efficiency and quality.

• Oversee website optimisation roadmaps for major websites
• Report strategic learnings and business impact to senior stakeholders
• FY budgets including forecasting
• Oversea day to day of key accounts and point of escalation

Aug 2011 - Apr 2014

UX/Optimisation Manager, REO Digital

Liaise with UX Designers and Optimisation consultants to build an A/B testing roadmap for each account based on insights from analytics, research and industry best practices

• Run quarterly workshops with every client to discuss new ideas, incentivising contribution and responsible for managing expectations around feasibility and potential uplift
• Responsible for lab based usability testing retainer clients making sure they get the most out of the sessions, working closely with consultants to generate recommendations based on quick-wins, long term and A/B testing ideas
• Manage end-to-end UX Design projects across devices including user research, wireframing, visual design, HTML/CSS and A/B testing

Achievements:

🏆 Implemented across all accounts a way to predict and report on annual uplift from A/B tests through a sitewide calculator
